This unit the students will explore their own sense of self, self-esteem and self concept. Connected to that they will look how to improve their sense of self through healthy life-styles, handling relationships, peer pressure and knowing how and why their bodies are changing as they grow older. WHO WE ARE An inquiry into the nature of the self; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities, and cultures; rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human CENTRAL IDEA The changes people experience throughout their life affect their evolving sense of self.
