Dear Parents/Guardians, The Elementary Student Council have decided to raise money for The Hillside Academy English School in Nepal. This school supports families who do not have enough money to send their children to school. $100 US is enough money for one child to attend school for a year. The Middle/High School have previously raised money for this cause, and some students visited the school in Nepal last year. The Elementary Student Council believe that this is a very worthy cause, and are passionate about helping those children who are less fortunate than themselves. In order to raise money, the Student Council invite Elementary students to attend a Games Night on Wednesday 19th March from 3:30 to 6:30pm. The Games Night will consist of playing board games, video games and team games. The cost of the event will be 5, 000 won per child. There will also be raffle tickets sold prior and during this event, and snacks sold from 3.30pm on wards (prices ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 Won). When the evening concludes at 6 pm, please pick up your child from the Elementary Hall on the 5th floor. There will NOT be buses taking the children home. If your child wishes to attend, please fill out the Google Form and send 5,000 won to his or her homeroom teacher by Friday 14th March. Please help your child support this worthwhile cause. If your child cannot attend, and you wish to contribute, please send in a donation. Kind regards, Sarah Toouli and the Elementary Student Council Three clubs from MHS - Model United Nations (MUN), National Honors Society (NHS) and the Invisible Hands - are organizing a book collection this week. If you have any books - new or old, English only please - that you wish to clear off your shelves, please give them to us.
