PYP 7 Keys Parent Session
Thank you to all the parents who attended our October PYP Session last October 11th,Friday. There was an opportunity to visit some classes and ask their questions about reading during the session.
If you would like to get some idea on the topics discussed, please view the slideshow here: http://goo.gl/6CeCuz
Some comments from the attendees were:
"So much appreciated for all the things today. It is especially impressive to take part in the class and do the activity with my own child. Looking forward to the next session."
"Interesting session. I want to learn more. I feel I should know these things from my school days, but we weren't taught these things."
"I am interested in learning how to motivate a reluctant reader and what kinds of incentives/ideas to use."
"I thought it was interesting how children are encouraged to make connections from the book (text) to self, text, and world. I learned how to help my children ask questions about what they are reading to deepen understanding of the text."
